Till Tuesday, IMD data showed Delhi as a whole had only received 48.9mm of rainfall between June 1 and July 13, as opposed to a normal marks of 140.1mm, making it a deficit of 65%. At Safdarjung, the rain tally during this period was 67.6mm. However, Tuesday's downpour and another spell on Wednesday is expected to bridge the gap somewhat.
